Backing up downhill:

If you’ve ever parked on a hill or slight incline and had to reverse you may have noticed that when you put your car in reverse the transmission hits that gear fairly hard. Well when you park on any steep incline or hill you need to make sure your parking break is on. Then put your vehicle in reverse, then release the parking break. You will notice that you won’t get that jolt from the transmission slamming into the reverse gear.
